| Zusammenfassung | The health risk due to the presence of thoron indoors cannot be neglected in some particular situations, such as when thorium-rich building materials are present in recent years, the monitoring of Rn-220 and its progenies has therefore become more intense. Furthermore, the presence of thoron does influence the radon environmental measurements and instrument calibrations, and vice versa. A new calibration facility for measuring both Rn-220 and its decay products is under development at the PTB. The results concerning the characterisation of reference thoron exhalation field are presented and discussed in this work. |
