| Zusammenfassung | Near-DC (f(0.1 Hz) biomagnetic fields may arise from leakage injury currents of damaged polarized cells. Similar DC-phenomena are the depolarization processes expected to occur in the brain in stroke. At low frequencies biomagnetic measurement devices display increasing (1/f) noise levels which make DC-MEG recordings difficult. Using a horizontal modulation of the body position transposes the near-DC fields to higher and therefore less noisy frequencies. For the reconstruction of the near DC-field from such position modulated MEG-measurements a narrow bandwidth signal prodessing was combined with a transformation scheme via a 3-dimensional virtual distributed current source. Since MEG-measurements in the low frequency range are often dominated by superposition of several a priori unknown sources an Independent Component Analysis (ICA) algorithm was applied to the reconstruted DC-MEG data in order to achieve a separation of the underlying sources. |
