Zusammenfassung The "1 antenna method" is a convenient method to determine the antenna gain factor directly from reflection coefficient data measured with a vector network analyzer, and without the need for a second (reference) or more additional antennas. Here it is applied to determine the gain factor of typical EMC aperture antennas at very close proximity. The results are compared and found to be in good agreement with measurements using the conventional "3-antenna method", therefore the 1-antenna method may offer a possible alternative.
