Zusammenfassung An existing set of Bonner spheres of the Institute for Physics and Nuclear Engineering in Bucharest has been modified following the PTB design for application of a 3He filled SP9 counter. It was then possible to establish a provisory fluence response matrix for this Bonner sphere set by operating only simple interpolations of the fluence responses of the PTB spheres. For further adjustments of the provisory response matrix in order to obtain and validate the final fluence response matrix of the Romanian Bonner sphere spectrometer , it was sufficient to perform calibration mesurements with a reference 252Cf neutron source and to make joint measurements, including the PTB Bonner sphere spectrometer, in a few neutron fields differing substantially in their spectral distributions. It is estimated that integral neutron fluences and dose-equivalent values can now be determined with the Bonner sphere spectrometer of the Institute for Physics and Nuclear Engineering in Bucharest with uncertainties of about ±4 % and ±8 %, respectively.
