| Zusammenfassung | Often small uncertainties, of 0,1 μm and less, are today required in dimensional calibrations. Even the form of artifacts from high-precision manufacture deviates from the ideal shape, and these form deviations influence the uncertainties of length calibrations. At PTB, precise calibrations of the length are therefore always carried out together with form calibrations. Economic as well as measurement uncertainty aspects require the combined measurement of length and form in a single set-up. The term "form" is to include among other things the measurands roundness, straightness and parallelism. As a measuring instrument capable of measuring length and form is not commercially available, a suitable set-up has been developed by PTB. |
