| Zusammenfassung | The increasing globalization and regionalization of trade and world economy has led to a competition which more and more affects metrology as well. Bearing this in mind, an efficient metrological infrastructure has a particularly strong impact on nearly all the fields of our daily life. It is the basis for a smooth functioning of industry, technology, science and research, thus being indispensable for industrial countries. Whereas the metrological progress in science and technology is continuously developing, the challenges to be met by the metrological institutions are of great significance at this very moment. |
