| Zusammenfassung | A new concept of a compact flow profile sensor based on the Doppler Global Velocimetry will be presented. In contrast to conventionally used DGV-systems applying water cooled Ar-ion lasers and iodine cells, the described fluid flow velocity sensors uses a powerful DBR-laser diode and a Cs absorption cell for the determination of the Doppler shift. The small dimensions of DBR-laser diodes allow the realisation of a compact sensor. In addition, their linear and fast tuneability make it possible to apply modulation techniques which can be used to improve the accuracy and to simplify the experimental set-up, as a reference detector is no longer required. First experimental results illustrating the concept are presented. |
