| Zusammenfassung | The measurement method for the hardness of rubber and plastics according to Shore A is described in the standard ISO 868. Rising requirements for the accuracy of this hardness measurement have led to the result that the users of rubber hardness testers and also metrology experts who deal with calibration of it need calibration methods for the testers acknowledged by a standard. Therefore quite a lot of experiments were done at Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) in Berlin. All results will be used as a basis for the establishment of the relevant international standard which at present does not exist. Practical experiments with different indenter cone angle, diameter of cone frustum and force application time were carried out. For the obtained results the regression calculations were applied to determine the sensitivity coefficients for the influence quantities. Finally the effects of all influence quantities to the uncertainty of hardness testers and to the calibration uncertainty were calculated and summarized separately for metrological requirements defined in ISO 868 and DIN 53 505. |
