| Zusammenfassung | A comparison between the local freezing point cells of copper of the National Metrological Institutes of Korea and Germany, KRISS and PTB respectively, was performed using Pt/Pd thermocouples. The two fixed-point cells compared were made at the respective institutes. The KRISS Cu cell was the sealed type, but the PTB cell was an open type. Two calibrated stable Pt/Pd thermocouples provided by KRISS and PTB were used for this comparison. The comparison measurements were performed at PTB using the same fixed-point furnace for both cells. In this way, the influence of the temperature distribution of the furnace on the freezing behavior of the copper could be minimized. In addition, the freezing temperature of the PTB copper cell was realized in another fixed-point furnace. The comparison measurements revealed a slightly higher freezing temperature of the KRISS copper fixed-point cell than that of the PTB cell by about 20 mK, but this small temperature difference was within the overall uncertainty of the comparison measurements. |
